Abstract

A solid core tellurite based photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is designed using COMSOL Multiphysics software based on finite element method. The first ring of air holes near the core region is infiltrated with liquid analyte having different refractive index. We study the linear and nonlinear optical properties of the PCF filled with different analyte. We have observed that the proposed PCF is single mode which could be very useful for various applications such as optical coherence tomography, biomedical sensors and slow light generation.
