Eligibility for Class 10 Private Students to Appear for the Second Board Exam in 2026
There are certain categories of candidates who will be eligible to appear for the second board exam in 2026—that is, the ‘third chance compartment category’ as per CBSE rules. These candidates include students who belong to the 2024-25 batch and were placed in the compartment category. Also included are candidates from the same year who were placed in the compartment category (and were eligible for examinations other than compartment), but who did not appear in the main examinations in 2026. Such candidates will be considered under the ‘third chance compartment category.

- Filling the form offline is strictly prohibited.
- DD/Cheque/Money Order/Postal Order will not be accepted for payment of fees.
- Forms without fee payment will be automatically rejected.
- Late applications will be automatically rejected.
- It is important to understand here that merely filling the form will not make the application complete; The application will be considered complete only if the fee is paid along with it.

- The process of submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) along with the required fees is divided into two stages.
- First Phase: April 16, 2026 (12 noon) to April 20, 2026 (midnight)
- Second Phase: April 21, 2026 to April 22, 2026 (midnight)
- Applicants should try to submit their applications during the first phase to avoid additional costs.

New Two-Exam System for 2026 Students
The introduction of a more flexible structure in exams is a significant revision to the 2026 cycle.
